Grangetown Health Centre

Rights and responsibilities

What you can expect from us:

Patients’ medical conditions will be managed to the highest standards as defined by medical professionals.

Patients will be treated with courtesy and consideration by our staff.

The practice will try to educate patients on their health care matters whenever possible.

Patients have the right to view their medical records, subject to the Acts, and to know that those working for the NHS are under legal obligation to keep the contents confidential.

What you can do for us:

Treat all staff with courtesy and respect.

Attend appointments on time or give the practice adequate notice when you wish to cancel.

An appointment is for one person only.  When another family member needs to be seen or discussed, another appointment must be made.

Home visits should only be requested for seriously ill or housebound patients.

Give 48 hours notice when ordering repeat prescriptions.

Many problems can be solved by advice alone, therefore patients should not always expect a prescription.
